EPRA Announces new fuel prices for the next 30 days.
The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced new fuel prices for the next 30 days.
In a press release shared with Kenyans on Thursday, October 14, 2021, EPRA dropped the prices of petrol and diesel by Ksh 5 and kerosene consumers were the biggest beneficiaries as it was dropped by Ksh7.28.

The new prices mean that petrol and diesel will retail at Ksh 129.72 and Ksh 110.60 respectively in Nairobi.
The new price review comes weeks after the ODM leader Raila Odinga and Cabinet secretary Fred Matiang’i promised Kenyans that the price of fuel will go down in a week’s time.
“I assure you that the fuel prices will go down this coming week,” he declared.
Deputy President William Ruto also told the cabinet secretary in charge of the petroleum sector to dismantle the cartel responsible for hiking prices.
“Decisions amongst them to ‘gift’ Sh12per litre to private companies causing the punitive fuel costs while cartels rake in super-profits must be reversed asap,” Ruto posted on his Twitter handle.
