Business woman-cum-socialite Vera Sidika hosted an invite-only baby shower that attracted social media enthusiasts.
Reports shared by bloggers had indicated that the renowned socialite begged for help from friends to make her baby shower a success.
Vera Sidika rubbished the allegations by sarcastically dismissing the claims. The heavily pregnant Vera posted on her Instagram stories saying that she spent over KSh 800k.
“Tell me how can a celebrity like me use KSh 100k to throw a fancy baby shower party that cost me over Sh800K,” she posted
KSh 100k she begged?
Netizens on social media had shared screenshots of a WhatsApp group which they alleged that Veetox CEO used to beg for money. Vera slammed such thoughts asking those who shared whether she looked like a beggar.
“They started by saying there was no food or drinks at the baby shower. They realized there was, now they went to make stories to make it look like I am a beggar. Begging people for KSh 100k. Did the baby shower look worth KSh 100k to you?” Vera Sidika sarcastically said.
She added that the KSh 100k whose screenshots were being circulated was for a gift that her friends decided to buy her.
“So the person who shared the rumors did not share that the group was formed by Risper and I was unaware. They made it look like I formed a group so as to beg people for money,” she added.
Earlier, Vera Sidika suggested that she doesn’t like the idea of letting people prepare the function for her since she liked being perfect.

I didn’t know how I would feel walking to my surprise party and everything just not as what I would like it to be. Woi. I would definitely be happy for the thoughtfulness. But weeh. I’m just very detailed and such a perfectionist. It’s a Libra thing, I think” said Vera.
