Gloves off as Ruto hits out directly at Uhuru
Ruto fires back at Uhuru, says without him there would be no Jubilee
Deputy President has responded to claims made by President that he was a ghost worker during Jubilee’s second term.
Speaking during a campaign rally in Kakamega County, Ruto dismissed such claims saying that without him the President would not be enjoying the benefits that come with holding the highest office in Kenya.
“I want to tell my friends that Jubilee government was a joint project between Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto…without me the Jubilee government wouldn’t have been in place,” He said.

He further stated that he cannot be excluded from the successes that the Jubilee government achieved so far. He challenged the President saying that plans can be made in offices but it’s implemented in the field and is what he was exactly doing.
“And I want to tell them that you can’t deny me as the deputy president the credit we have achieved in the many things we have achieved as a government, it’s not going to happen,” he added
Speaking in Mombasa during the launch of the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) Conference, the president alluded that his deputy was just a busy body in government accusing him of neglecting duties.
“We have seen those who are just saying they did this and at the same time claiming that the government has done nothing. Work is not done on top of cars, it is done in offices and hospitals. The nurse does not peddle lies but goes to wards and theatres. In this Kenya, we see a lot,” he said.
The president also declared that he was going to participate fully in campaigns. He warned those who have been campaigning to prepare for a tough competition.
President Uhuru will be leading his allies to join a coalition between Jubilee and Raila’s ODM during an NDC scheduled for 25th and 26th February 2022.
