High court clears Johnson Sakaja to vie for Nairobi gubernatorial seat
The High Court has on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 cleared Johnson Sakaja to vie for Nairobi governor’s seat.
In his ruling, Justice Antony Mrima, dismissed the petition filed by Dennis Gakuu seeking to challenge the validity of Sakaja’s credentials.

Justice Antony said that: “The court finds IEBC did not err in clearing Sakaja to vie for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat. The upshot, therefore, is that the petition is unsuccessful and is hereby dismissed with cost,” he ruled.
