I’m broke and famous, Yassin Comedy shares his story.

Yassin Comedy has shared the plight of content creators in Kenya. In an interview with a YouTuber known as the commentator, Yassin takes us through deplorable living conditions in the Ghetto despite being famous.

Yassin lives in an informal settlement along Jogoo road. He stays in a single room made of iron sheets.

He says that things went south after his father’s death. Despite being a celebrity, Yassin struggles to make a living.

“My life was good back then… there are incidents that made life hard, my dad passed, that changed everything,” He said

Why he is broke and famous, Yassin Comedy shares

Yassin added that he hangs out with famous friends who doesn’t help him at all.

“Those famous friends you see hanging around me, only need something in return, they may even want you to be in their event or anything,” He revealed.

According to him, the society doesn’t appreciate local talents. This is something he notes that it has affected the industry big time.

“The society doesn’t appreciate local talents, when an artist from Nigeria lands, people go to their events just because they have enough clout…” He added.

Yassin says that they are underrated by corporates who pay them very little.

“Companies underrate talents, they pay you what you don’t deserve, especially when you are desparate. And when you do not have a good management,” He continued.

He is one of the artist who has come out to express what they are going through in the industry.
