Ruto gives NIS 14 days ultimatum to make election report public
The poll places Raila Odinga at 42% of the total votes against his closest rival William Ruto who garnered 38%.
“We conducted the poll between May 27 and 29, and had 9,000 interviews carried out in all the 47 counties. It also said 290 constituencies were covered with a margin of + or – 1,” Ambitho said.
Why Ruto is dropping.
The survey showed Ruto’s popularity had dropped from 42% after he picked Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua as his running mate. On the other hand, Raila’s had increased after he named NARC Kenya boss Martha Karua as his deputy.
Raila’s popularity also rose after Kalonzo Musyoka rejoined the party.
