Inside Uhuru’s secret card to destroy DP Ruto Revealed
Things are not looking good for the second in command after new revelations that President Uhuru Kenyatta has laid an elaborate plan to destroy Ruto’s influence in Mount Kenya.
In a meeting attended by President’s most trusted allies in the statehouse, the President promised to counter Ruto’s influence in the region by revealing the dirty dealings that Deputy President and his lieutenants have been involved in.
Corruption cases
President Uhuru Kenyatta is said to be planning to use corruption cases as one of the key reasons why he broke up with his deputy. A close source who attended the meeting revealed that the President had told his allies not to worry as he was going to dilute Ruto’s influence in Mount Kenya within a day.
Meet the people tour is being organized by those close to the President. It is planned to focus on the Mount Kenya region where the President will explain why he had chosen to work with the former Prime Minister instead of his deputy who he had promised to hand over to after 2022.
Nyeri Member of Parliament stated that those allied to the Deputy President were now afraid that their lies were going to be exposed and they had now resorted to attacking President’s development agenda.
“They have lied to Kenyans, misrepresented themselves, and manipulated the general public. Uhuru had the capacity to destroy everything they think they have achieved, overnight. This is because they have been running an agenda based on lies and propaganda, while he has truth, facts, and tangible benefits to show,” he stated.
Uhuru is said to have lined up a number of cases that Ruto allies have been involved in. At some point in the meeting, Uhuru pointed out why he had to fire the then cabinet secretary for finance Henry Rotich. It’s alleged that Rotich was being used by the Deputy President to embezzle funds.
The former agriculture minister was also mentioned. It was claimed that instead of working, he was busy fighting the same government he was working for. President Uhuru is set to explain to his supporters that he didn’t fire Kiunjuri and others from Mount Kenya out of hate but because they were involved in shoddy deals and it was being supported by the second in command.
“We have been working while they have been running everywhere lying to Kenyans about my government yet they are the ones telling Kenyans what the government has done,” President said.
Sabotaging the government
Those close to the President revealed that the President told them that instead of working, his deputy was busy sabotaging him. He told his allies that Ruto had ignored him completely and started his journey of looking for votes even though the elections were three years away.
The main reason he decided to work with the ODM leader is that he had started receiving demands from those close to the deputy president to publicly declare if Ruto was still his favorite candidate. Ruto sensing that the President was not bothered and was not ready to be dragged into such politics, decided to launch a countrywide campaign in what was viewed as inciting the people against the President.
Uhuru is also set to explain why he had to ignore some of Ruto’s demands. In the meeting, it came out that during the 2017 Jubilee party’s nominations, Deputy President deliberately changed results for strong candidates and imposed his allies who he could easily manipulate.
Kiambu was cited as a major county where Ruto wanted his ‘puppet’ in power so that he could easily control the resources. President is said to have stated that he could not allow the county he comes from to be brought down by crooks who wanted to enrich themselves.
President stated that it was becoming difficult to work with the deputy president since the majority of allies were not ready to listen to the president’s directives. Uhuru explained that he had to do what was right to make his government work and he was ready to explain to Kenyans everything as it is.
Unexplained Wealth
President also noted that through the intelligence he came to know that those allied to the deputy president were amassing wealth which could not be explained. He said that he tried to bring a lifestyle audit but he was fought by those he described as ‘culprits’. He even reiterated what the ODM leader Raila Odinga has been saying that Deputy President would donate millions of money to churches without explaining the source of the money,
“Even Safaricom, a leading and profit-making company cannot donate such amount of money in a week,” Raila Odinga stated in one of his functions.
The BBI Question
The President also said that he was going to explain to his people why he was pushing for BBI to work. He noted that BBI was supposed to deliver more resources to Mount Kenya but they were made to believe that he was pushing for power.
The President will be using the platform to caution the people against voting for those who don’t want the people to receive more money. He stated that the few selfish and corrupt individuals were working hard to make any agenda being fronted by the head of state look bad.
Dynasty vs Hustler
Finally, the President is said to have been categorically disappointed by the hypocrisy being displayed by those pushing for hustler narrative. He stated that they were busy inciting the poor against the rich.
“The President is disappointed, he was pissed off with how the hustler team was pushing their campaigns by inciting the haves and have-nots, to him that was even threatening the national security, this meant that the poor could attack the rich,” A source who did not want to be named stated.
He further stated the President told them that the Tangatanga adherents had underestimated and disrespected him for long and it was about time, he would show them dust when the right time comes.
President Uhuru was given a go-ahead to continue heading Jubilee Party even after retiring. The party is set to enter a coalition agreement with Orange Democratic Party under Azimio La Umoja movement.
