Kenya Kwanza MPs Demand Removal of NIS Boss Noordin Haji Amid Sabotage Allegations
In a parliamentary group meeting held at the State House on July 15, 2023, members of the Kenya Kwanza alliance made serious allegations against the newly appointed National Intelligence Boss, Noordin Haji.
The MPs claimed that Haji is collaborating with former President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga to undermine the Kenya Kwanza government.
During the meeting, one member of parliament stated that they had evidence of Haji meeting with both Uhuru and Raila, suggesting that sensitive intelligence is being shared with the opposition.
“Mr. Haji has been seen meeting Raila and Uhuru. He needs to decide if he’s an Azimio sympathizer or a civil servant,” said one of the MPs as reported by Taifa Leo.

These allegations have raised concerns about the integrity and impartiality of the National Intelligence Service (NIS) under Haji’s leadership.
Noordin Haji, a prominent Kenyan lawyer who previously served as the Director of Public Prosecutions, was appointed as the National Intelligence Boss, earlier this year.
Haji’s tenure as the Director of Public Prosecutions was marked by his efforts to combat corruption and prosecute high-profile cases.
However, the allegations made by the Kenya Kwanza MPs have cast a cloud of doubt over Haji’s current role.
The parliamentarians claim that Haji’s supposed collaboration with Uhuru and Raila is aimed at sabotaging the Kenya Kwanza government, thereby jeopardizing its ability to effectively govern the country.
The allegations have gained significant attention, sparking a heated debate within political circles and prompting the Kenya Kwanza MPs to call for Noordin Haji’s removal from his position as the National Intelligence Boss.
They argue that his alleged collaboration with both the former President and the opposition leader compromises the integrity and independence of the intelligence service.
