Lady narrates how she got HIV during Vasha Rally Chronicles.

The Safari Rally is back. The hype surrounding the event, after making a comeback last year, has even escalated the frenzy further.

Last year, in the famous ‘Vasha’, grounds were turned into wild party zones. Crowds are thrilled with the hype of WRC deejays, who get the rare opportunity to showcase their mastery of the decks.

A lady who contacted Kenya Regional News has narrated how she got herself infected with HIV while making merry in Vasha rally.

“The company I work for gave everybody tickets to attend the rally, we were really excited, and being a year that we had all experienced a lot of setbacks, it was an opportunity to unwind…” She started.

She went further to account how all started. According to her, it was the first time she had touched alcohol. It was during the rally that she tried alcohol.

“I had never tried alcohol before that day. Actually there’s nothing good with alcohol,” She added.

She remembers blacking out, her male friends took her to a hotel that they had booked. After sometime, she came back to her senses. She acknowledges that no one forced her, but she willingly had a good time with one of her colleague.

“I blacked out, the next thing I remember is my male friends taking me to a hotel that we booked. I later had some good time with one of them after I had come back to my senses,” She said.

She regrets not using protection, though she feels bad that her friend infected her, she doesn’t blame him since he had really insisted not to do it as it will affect their relationship.

“He had really insisted not to… but I was in the mood, I even didn’t think of protection at that time,” She narrated.

The mother of two now urges those going to Naivasha for the rally to be extremely careful when making merry. She adds that people shouldn’t get excited since it’s just a two day event.

“Actually guys should really be careful when going for these events, you might find yourself regretting for the rest of your life,” she added.

The star newspaper has reported that Naivasha has been hit with condom shortages.
