Ledama’s latest remarks links Uhuru’s Gov’t to corruption
Senator Ledama Olekina made remarks suggesting that President Uhuru’s administration had given up the fight against corruption.
OleKina in a Twitter post, stated that the Ministry of Petroleum and Mining were deliberately flouting procurements regulations to serve their own interests.
“Anticipation of A New Government is fueling corruption in the Ministry of Petroleum and Mining! How do you put in an open tender for the delivery of 10 months’ supply of fuel yet the law requires you to put a tender for fuel every month? Mr. PS Wacha Ukora bwana! We will not allow you,” Ledama said in a Twitter post.

However, Nandi senator Samson Cherargei, dismissed Ledama’s claims saying that they should not accuse the same government they are part of.
“Uliza Raila yuko kwa serikali stop opposing government you are part of; beba msalaba wa jubilee pole pole (Ask Raila that since he is in government…carry Jubilee’s cross in peace,” stated Cherargei.
The heated debate between the two senators comes a day when their respective presidential candidates are to name their running mates.
Deputy President William Ruto is expected to name his running mate at his official residence in Karen while his counterpart Raila Odinga is expected to unveil his in Kamkunji grounds.
