Content creators Kabi Wa Jesus and Milly Wa Jesus shared their love journey, speaking during an interview hosted by Mungai Eve, Milly narrated how she met Kabi.
Kabi stated that the two met in 2012 when he had gone to take photos of his friend’s girlfriend.
“We met in 2012, I had gone to her house to take photos, I was a photographer by then. My friend had invited me to take of him and his girlfriend (Milly),” Kabi said.
Milly said that Kabi had been invited by his ex to take photos during the housewarming.
“When I was in form two I was dating Kabi’s friend, and that’s how I met Kabi. In 2012 I had a house warming, my ex then told me that I have a friend who can take some good photos of you. And the friend was Kabi.
We met as friends, like a friend to my boyfriend. At that time I was considering Kabi as my big brother because he was already out of school. My ex was also out of school, I never dated someone in the same age group.” She stated.
Milly added that she considered Kabi as his big brother until form four
“All the way until form four, I considered him as a brother, though he claims that I wanted to date since day one, so my boyfriend would send me letters, which Kabi claims that he was the one sending them to me.” She added
On his part, Kabi defended his claims that he had been sending Milly love letters, he hilariously said that his friend, who was dating Milly by then, would visit his cyber to ask him to write lovely letters to his girlfriend.
“Way back I had a cyber, her ex would come to my cyber requesting me to write a lovely letter to her girlfriend not knowing that they will end up together.” He said.
Milly further said that after breaking up with his boyfriend he lost touch with Kabi as well until after four years when she noticed that he had gotten saved.
“I lost touch with Kabi after finishing school, I had also broken up with my boyfriend. When I was in my second year I noticed Kabi on Facebook he had changed his name and looks. He had changed his name from Kabi Pinches to Kabi Wa Jesus.
I started going through his timeline, I found that he had gotten saved, the last time I met him, and he was doing drugs. I started developing an interest in him. I reached out to know more about his change. That’s when we started talking again.” She narrated.
However, Milly says that they continued relating like brother and sister until Kabi asked if they could date.
“We continued with the relationship which we had earlier, the brother-like relationship until we fell in love.
At some point, he asked if we could date, I accepted, for us, we were not trying, we knew we were dating to marry. I asked him when we marry, what would be my name? Now that you’re called Kabi Wa Jesus, he told me that I will be called Milly Wa Jesus.” Milly said.
