Muhoozi Kainerugaba prayed for UPDF Land Forces after being promoted to full general.
President Yoweri Museveni promoted his son, Muhoozi Kainerugaba, to the rank of general. The move also removed Muhoozi as the commander of Uganda’s land forces.
The controversial and self-declared defender of the Ugandan people penned a goodbye prayer to the land forces.
“May the Lord bless you and keep you, May the Lord make His face to shine upon you, May the Lord be gracious to you; May the Lord lift up His countenance to you…and give you peace,” Muhoozi said.
Prior to his promotion, Muhoozi had ignited a diplomatic row between Kenya and Uganda threatening to invade Kenya in a week’s time.
“It wouldn’t take me and my army two weeks to capture Nairobi,” he said in a tweet.
UPDF Land Forces are responsible for defending Uganda’s territory against external attacks.
