Intriguing details by Raila’s ally on how Uhuru is secretly campaigning for Ruto
Robert Alai, one of the staunch supporters of the ODM leader Raila Odinga has shared shocking details on how President Uhuru is secretly campaigning for his Deputy.
Strengthen Ruto Weaken Raila
In a series of media posts dubbed #StrengtheRutoWeakenRaila, Alai said that Raila was being taken for a ride, he says the state is faking Ruto’s tribulations to make him more popular.
While reacting to reports that suggested that the government had withdrawn Ruto’s GSU security, Alai alleged that it was another move to weaken ODM and build the UDA party.
“Another move which campaigns for Ruto. Pretending to withdraw security from Ruto’s homes builds Ruto. I don’t know why the determination to campaign for Ruto is like he doesn’t know how to campaign for himself. Why weaken ODM and build UDA indirectly?” He curiously asked
Planned activity?
The self-declared fisherman questioned the activities involving GSU moving from DP premises, Alai wondered as to who called the media to cover the activities yet the DP himself was not aware of what was happening.
“Who called the media in the replacement of GSU with AP at the residences of DP Ruto? Who brought the media? For what? Campaigning for Ruto? How many GSU officers were there since most of the officers in the detail of DP Ruto have always been from the Prisons. Ruto chose prison officers,” his Tweet read.
He further alleged that this grand scheme is only known by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy.
“Only Ruto and Uhuru know this campaign scheme. That’s why they will never attack each other by name or directly. It’s all a kiss contest,
If they wanted to end Ruto, he’d not last even for another day. Ruto has been built by the state. Ruto is being campaigned for. Raila is being properly weakened,” he stated.
Jubilee’s tactics
He accused the Jubilee party of employing tactics being used by the communist party in China to destroy Raila Odinga.
“Jubilee leadership went to China to learn how the Communist Party operates. That’s what is being implemented. ODM leader has been blinded by small opulence here and there from the state operatives.” His post read.
He warned the ODM brigade to be careful with Uhuru, he stated that Uhuru at no point said that he won’t support Ruto.
“President Uhuru has not said that he is not going to support Ruto in 2022. He is just saying that he is being disrespected. ODM members must stop believing the lies and demand more.”
Joho destroying ODM
Alai further took his media attacks to governor Joho who is the deputy party leader of ODM, he alleges that Joho had succeeded in destroying ODM in Mombasa.
“Joho has finished ODM and Raila base in Mombasa. Now he is fronting both Shabhal and Nassir so as to finish the Swa whom he doesn’t respect much. I don’t know why we entertain this nonsense.” He said.
In a meeting held by ODM legislators, it said that they had agreed to come up with a way of campaigning for Raila rather than depending on Jubilee to support them.
“We need to engage with Jubilee but we must be careful, we must be careful not to be betrayed by them,” a source privy to the meeting said.
Jubilee held their first PG in three years in the statehouse, reports indicate that the President was non-committal to demands shared by legislators. It’s alleged some got furious as the head of state left them waiting.
Already, Jubilee Vice-Chair Murathe warned Kanini Kega one of those campaigning for his removal that he didn’t have personal differences with the DP and he can join UDA if they continue attacking him.
The current unfolding comes a week after the BBI dismissal.
