Lilian Adinda, a single mother residing in the Donholm area of Nairobi, is facing immense distress as her son, Fidel, remains unable to attend school due to unpaid fees. Fidel, an eager learner, has been deprived of his education, adding to the already burdensome challenges faced by Lilian.
Lilian, a resilient and hardworking woman, has been doing her best to provide for her son despite the financial constraints she encounters as a single mother. Recognizing the importance of education, she has always prioritized Fidel’s schooling, understanding that it holds the key to a brighter future for him.
However, the inability to pay Fidel’s school fees has forced him to miss out on the current academic term. The financial strain Lilian faces has left her feeling helpless, as she watches her son’s education being jeopardized by circumstances beyond her control.

Since the term commenced, Fidel who missed term one, has remained at home, unable to join his peers in the pursuit of knowledge. The absence of a classroom environment and the opportunity to engage with teachers and classmates have taken a toll on Fidel’s academic progress and his overall well-being.
Speaking about the situation, Lilian reached out to Tuko News, “He is supposed to be admitted at Ndathi Boys in Karatina, but I am unable to get his shopping, a metallic box, mattress, and some books, which are compulsory during admission,” She stated
While Lilian Adinda remains optimistic about finding a solution, the issue highlights the larger problem of financial barriers to education that many families face.
