This is why I’m Joining Ruto- Alfred Mutua
Alfred Mutua has given reasons why he is joining William Ruto’s alliance. In a press conference, Mutua stated that he’s leaving Azimio because of zoning.
“We are supporting Kenya Kwanza. There will be zero zoning in Kenya Kwanza and all our aspirants will be on the ballot,” He stated.
He added that they are convinced that Kenya Kwanza will transform Kenya under the leadership of William Ruto.
“We are convinced that the best team to transform Kenya is Kenya Kwanza and the leader to transform Kenya is William Ruto. I am aware that 5 other parties are planning to leave Azimio due to their dishonesty and zoning,” He said in a statement.

In addition, the Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader said that the coalition had become a club of the few who decide for the rest.
“Azimio has become a club of few people who sit and have tea, nyama choma and kuku chemsha. We can’t be in a party like that. As Maendeleo Chap Chap we are already gone,” Mutua noted.
He further accused Azimio One Kenya Alliance for trying to kill his party.
“Maendeleo Chap Chap entered into the Azimio wagon committed to principles of fairness and inclusivity; our party is a party on an upward trajectory,” He said.
One of the key supporter and online blogger for Azimio One Kenya Alliance urged Raila Odinga to put his house in order. The blogger went on to say that Raila must do what he preaches.
“Azimio La Umoja must embrace what we preach. We can’t have partners who sign agreements but they can’t see what they are signing. If we preach HONESTY, we must act so. If we preach INCLUSIVITY and EQUITY, we must act so. We are treating our partners badly. This, MUST be said,” He noted
