Deputy President’s comment on Mishra

Deputy President Ruto during a rally held in Uasin Gishu County, publicly denounced the candidature of Mishra. He claimed that he is among those who have stolen money meant for development projects.

“When we shall be sending Azimio la Umoja One Kenya alliance leader Raila Odinga to Bondo in August general election leaders including Mishra should be voted out. We gave him votes in 2017 but has since become full of pride and arrogance,” DP Ruto told Kesses residents.

Why Ruto wants Mishra out of Kesses politics

Details have now emerged on why Deputy President William Ruto wants Mishra out of Kesses MP-race.

Mishra’s ally gives a detailed reason why DP allies want Mishra out.

According to one of Mishra’s handlers, the bad blood between Mishra and the Deputy President started in 2018.

He alleged that, during a meeting that was convened by one of DP’s close ally, they were expected to shift their allegiance to the DP and not to President Uhuru without any conditions.

“It was around 2018 when Mishra was called to a meeting convened by a DP ally. He was instructed to stop supporting Uhuru’s agendas in Parliament,” He said.

Our sources added that he had no problem with that. The issue started when he was told to start contributing to sponsor Ruto’s campaign in the region.

“He was specifically instructed to fund Ruto’s campaigns in Rift Valley, and an amount was set for him,” He went on.

The soft-spoken ally of Mishra further alleged that those close to the DP started blackmailing him.

At some point, Mishra was asked to contribute an outrageous amount of money.

Mishra is said to have refused to heed to the demands. He however decided to go directly to the people.

The MP started helping residents directly, a move that was seen as defying orders from above.

Sponsored propaganda by DP allies

The fights and strategically sponsored propaganda against the MP started doing around.

It’s understood that the propaganda were sponsored by Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi and Kericho senator Aaron Cheruiyot.

During a rally that DP was seeking for blessings from his home turf, Senator Aaron Cheruiyot asked the crowd why they were electing crooks like Mishra.

He added that Mishra should be sent back to Punjab.

“The people of Kericho have send me to ask you why you are electing crooks. Why are you electing Indians who are despising our leaders? Deport him back to Punjab, he came to Kenya with one trouser, the things he’s giving you belongs to you,” He added.

Oscar Sudi is said to be the mastermind behind the removal of Mishra from Kesses. Those close to the legislator say that he’s being fought because of his rising influence in the region.

A resident by the name Kiprop said that yesterday’s comments by the DP, confirms that he’s behind the attacks fashioned against Mishra.

“This guy [Mishra] is a good man, he has done his work, just that he didn’t support the DP is the reason he is being fought,” He said.

Residents are now divided on whether to support Ruto’s candidate or give Mishra another chance.
