Breakthrough as TSC invites teachers to another round of CBA deal talk.

TSC CEO Nancy Macharia has invited the teachers’ unions to another round of the Collective Bargaining Agreement discussion. TSC will be looking to end the standoff after the first round ended in a stalemate.

According to Nancy Macharia, TSC’s plan to invite both KUPPET and KNUT came weeks after the former KNUT Secretary-General Wilson Sossion resigned from the position.

KUPPET Secretary-General Akelo Misori claimed that they got a raw deal. TSC did not include promotions and salary increments which was the significant grievance fronted by the union in their terms.

“The directives from the SRC are the ones to guide the TSC, without that communication the teachers’ employer is actually helpless,” a source within the TSC who sought anonymity intimated.
