Member of Parliament for Garissa Township Aden Duale has attacked President Uhuru’s leadership style likening it to a frosty relationship his father had with Jaramogi Odinga.
The former majority leader of the National Assembly, while speaking on his YouTube channel, on Tuesday, October 12, launched a scathing attack on President Kenyatta saying he was doing exactly what his father, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta did to Raila’s father.
“Unfortunately, President Kenyatta is doing exactly what his father did to Jaramogi and to Moi,” Aden Duale noted.
Duale noted that the President was exactly reading from a script used by his father. He said that things would have been different if Uhuru wasn’t Mzee Kenyatta’s son.
“You know if he was not the son of Mzee Kenyatta, he would have been different,” He said
Junior officers
The lawmaker alleged the President was fully aware of what was going on. He cited an instance where junior public officers disrespect the Deputy President without being questioned for doing so.
“There is no way that senior public officers who are juniors have the courage to humiliate the deputy president, and the president claims he is not aware,” Duale noted.
Politics of deceit
He further accused the President of playing politics of deceit and dishonesty. He noted that no one forced him to promise his backyard that he will support the Deputy President for ten years.
“No one forced president Uhuru to say over 1000 times, ‘kumi ni yangu, kumi ni yako’. He should come out and say that he played politics of deceit and dishonesty,” He stated.
Duale cautioned politicians who have supported Mt. Kenya candidates in the past. Mentioning Raila as an example, he said that Raila supported Kibaki only for him to be thrown out after weeks.
“Just like his father, Raila is the most humiliated leader in Kenya. He said ‘Kibaki Tosha'[ but was thrown out just after weeks. He should not be part of another humiliation in 2022,” the lawmaker noted.
