Waiguru’s Full Speech as She Dumps Jubilee for UDA.

Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has continued to express her desire to join DP Ruto’s camp.

During one of her engagements with her constituents, Waiguru disclosed that she’s listening to the people on the ground, and whatever advice they will give will inform her decision.

“I’m listening to the people on the ground, I’m listening very keenly, and I will go with the people’s decision. So if the people tell me to go this way, because they are the ones who will eventually elect me. I will have to respect the will of the people.” She disclosed.

She reiterated calls for Mount Kenya unity, sentiments shared by former Agriculture minister, Mwangi Kiunjuri and Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria.

“It’s very important that we as the leaders of Mount Kenya speak in one voice. Whichever side we end up on because it’s important that we negotiate for the people of Mount Kenya. Whoever we are going to support, for the presidential seat we want to know where our people will get jobs, we want to know which jobs they will be, we want to know which seats we will get in the cabinet, and all the benefits.

Coffee, tea what will happen to our markets, the roads that are already being done and they are not completed where the signature is so that we agree on how our people will be served. That’s the only interest we have. Whichever side because eventually there will be several camps of presidential candidates. However, those presidential candidates come up we want to know that the interests of the Mount Kenya people are taken care of. That’s why we encourage the conversations on the Mount Kenya unity.” She added.

Waiguru further accused Interior PS Karanja Kibicho, of sabotaging her, she stated that Kibicho has been harassing her office by issuing many summonses to intimidate her.

“They don’t want those titles issued, we need to give our people their titles. Because many people are suffering, they are selling properties using exercise books, it’s going to bring us serious conflicts because that land is not registered and transactions like that are not registered in the lands registry.

I know there are people who say that we need to be questioned and we are always being questioned as Kirinyaga, I don’t know why, every day we have been summoned over 200 hundred times, we have letters over 250 times, to go and answer one question or another, that can only be harassment, it can’t be anything else.” Said Waiguru.

Kirinyaga woman representative Purity Ngirici was the first member of the hustler nation to welcome Anne Waiguru to the UDA party. She said that she was ready to battle it out in the nomination for the Governor’s UDA ticket in the 2022 elections.
