What you need to know about UDA Party

The United Democratic Alliance party came into the limelight in January 2021 after Deputy President Dr. William Ruto declared that he will decamp to the UDA party.

Dr. William Ruto stated that he was tired of intimidations and disrespect he was receiving from Jubilee officials.

The party changed its name from Party of Development and Reforms in December 2020.

The Party settled on Deputy President Dr. William Ruto has its Presidential candidate.

The United Democratic Alliance named 31 officials to spearhead Deputy President’s campaign. The officials were tasked to ensure that the Party secures most seats in the coming August general elections. The party officials are;

How to register as UDA Party Member.

The party has an active portal where members can register to join the party.

After you follow the link to the portal. You will find membership registration which contains the following sections;

  1. ID number
  2. Names
  3. Gender
  4. Phone Number
  5. E-mail address
  6. County of residence and a checkbox where you tick to confirm that you agree to Party’s terms and conditions.

UDA Party Offices and Location.

UDA party headquarters are located in Nairobi’s Kilimani area along Makindu Road, Off Riara Road.

UDA Party Slogan and Manifesto

The Party’s slogan is Kazi ni Kazi a Kiswahili phrase meaning Work is Work. The slogan implies that any kind of work should be respected irrespective of the work status.

The Party is well known for its Bottom-up economic model. Deputy President William Ruto made bottom-up his main manifesto.

According to Dr. William Ruto, bottom-up will see the economy grow from the bottom where the middle and the lower class are.

The Party colors

The Party is identified with the yellow and green colors. Those are the dominant colors.

The Party logo

The Party chose a unique logo that relates well with the common Kenyan. The party logo is a wheelbarrow.
