You’re not invited, Ruto told as BBI talks gain momentum.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has stated that those opposing the Building Bridges Initiative will be locked out of the following process regarding the BBI report.

Speaking at a retreat in Naivasha, President Kenyatta and his handshake partner told pro-BBI MPs to process the document as it is.

This move came days after DP Ruto had proposed several issues to be changed in the document before moving into the next stage.

Ruto wants the proponents of BBI to focus on the development agenda instead of creating positions for the elite.

Speaking during a tour in Murang’a, Ruto said that he would oppose the documents if his proposals are not factored in the paper.

“If we put issues of mwananchi in BBI, we have no problem. But if we say it is a must, will you support it?” he asked.

“If the issues of Mwananchi are not in the report, reggae will stop. Issues of tea, coffee, milk must be incorporated in the report,” Ruto added.

Jubilee Party Vice Chair David Murathe rubbished Ruto’s proposals stating that his submissions came when they had already finalized the report.

“Where was he during Bomas One? The task force received suggestions and went back to the people to ratify the same but even then, he did not bother to give his views,” the Jubilee Vice-Chair stated.
